Starry Eyes

hey yall,

The Starry Eyes video was created in Photoshop and Final Cut Pro, though FCP got really bogged down toward the end, so I wouldn’t really recommend that. You can go to the cafepress shop and be the first (and only) kid on your block with a Starry Eyed Doll Head T-shirt.

But anyway, here’s the list of sources, along with a little bit of info about them.

-The doll head was cut out of some ideal doll commercials from the 60s, available on archive.org

-Hit Me Baby One More time – everybody loves Britney. Also used a snippett from Carnival
-Perfect Blue is a crazy Japanese Anime that goes sortof like a David Lynch film.
-That Junior Miss Spirit seems to be a documentary about a beauty pageant, also on archive.org
-Diet Coke commercial from early 2000(?) features the Paul Oakenfold song “Starry Eyed Surprise”

-Ex Fat Girl Workout – art piece created by Nagi Noda, a Japanese pop artist, who sadly died in 2008 at the age of 35. All her stuff is great, and a lot of it is up on youtube.
